The course summarises the current state of knowledge on agroforestry. The course gives students a view on different agroforestry practices in the tropics and temperate zone as well. During lectures and seminars classification of agroforestry systems, their influence on soil and water management, interaction of different components in agroforestry, socio-economic performance etc. is explained. Theoretical framework is completed with various case studies.
